Our Ultimate™ reader is incredibly robust and will function perfectly in whatever surrounding you place it in. It can be used as an internal or external security system. If you are looking for a low use internal biometric, please look at our Micro™ fingerprint reader.
The ievo ultimate™ sensor technology will enable a finger print image to be obtained even through levels of water, dust, dirt, oils, creams or cosmetics on the skin and whilst wearing some latex gloves. Problem fingerprints that have been previously rejected by other biometric readers will be successfully scanned. If your installation site will not encounter these problems, take a look at our micro™ fingerprint reader for internal use only.
ievo™ is IP rated to industry standard 65, offering a reader that can be mounted internally or externally without compromising its efficiency or reliability. An IP rated case enables ievo ultimate™ to be used in the harshest of environments, including extreme rain, wind, snow and direct sunlight.
The ievo™ fixings have been specifically designed to ensure the ultimate™ reader is securely mounted and security specialist tools are needed and supplied to be able to remove the reader. Most other existing biometric reader’s only need a standard screw driver to remove them, causing not only security concerns but problems regarding data protection as most other readers store data on the reader itself. It is also manufactured in polycarbonate ABS with a reinforced, toughened glass sensor giving it that extra robustness.
Spoof detection is a feature of the ievo ultimate™ reader which can identify live, human fingerprints as opposed to false fingerprints made by other materials. This has been an issue in the past with other biometric competitors and as a result granting unidentified individuals access into a secured area. We tested our spoof feature by using a Police forensic manufactured print. The spoof print was denied.
Most competitor biometric access control products have built in controller/relays. These can be easily removed from the wall and gain entrance by shorting the relay. This is not how a security product should work. The ultimate™ reader contains no controllers or relays. ievo™’s matching board is housed internally, up to 5 meters away.
Ievo ultimate™ has been designed to seamlessly integrate into existing card and fob systems by utilising the original manufacturers controllers through the use of wiegand inputs and outputs. This offers installers the opportunity to offer a reliable and superior biometric product to all of its new and existing clients.
At the moment we are integrated into Paxton, Nortech, BSB, ACT and Inner-Range with further options of PAC and Honeywell sometime in the future. This section is updated whenever we have successfully completed a new integration.
The ievo ultimate™ PCB and its case are small and have been designed to fit into other manufacturers PSU’s and controller cases.
A well communicated issue with existing biometric products and its software is due to the duplication of registration information when integrating the reader into existing systems. Ievo ultimate™ eradicates these issues and its software is not only effortless but is very quick and easy to use and compliments any existing software.
Each ultimate™ reader has its own IP address and can be connected using CAT5 and our IP configuration software tool.
ievo ultimate™ has three LEDs built into the button. A blue for power indication, green for accepted door open and red for denied. This feature also assists for DDA compliances.
By adding an ievo™ door relay controller to your ultimate™ system a registered user with no access levels or expired time zones will be rejected by the reader and notified by the LED turning red followed by a double beep. Alternatively, if they have been accepted the LED will turn green followed by a single beep. Before this feature was developed, if the user was registered but did not hold the access level within the door controller or correct time zone then the reader ‘granted’ them access, but the door remained closed.
Ensuring ievo™ meets the requirements of the installer. It is imperative that the reader is easy and quick to install. There are only four phoenix plugs and a RJ45 port on the ievo ultimate™ matching board.
The ievo™ team has quizzed the likes of end users, installers and architects and found that they preferred a reader to be small in size and able to fit in well with the installation environment. Ievo ultimate™ was designed with this specification in mind. The ergonomics of any access control reader are paramount. ievo ultimate™ is easy to use, quick and convenient. It is fit for purpose as an access control system. It has no screens installed as these are often difficult to read when the reader is placed at the required DDA height.
The ievo ultimate™ reader comes in four choices for specification. An internal flush or surface mounted, or an external flush or surface mounted with a built in heater system which enables the reader to operate at -20°C. The ievo™ external reader does not have to be mounted in a case or box like other leading biometric manufacturers. All the factors explained above provide enough reasoning to why this reader is perfect for all projects, sites and specifications. However, if you require an internal only solution for low use, take a look at our micro™ reader.
