Micro™ has been designed to provide you with a fit-for-purpose biometric yet cost effective and reliable. It is for internal use only. If you are looking for an external security system or a ‘high use’ internal reader then please look at our Ultimate™ fingerprint reader.
Using superior multi-spectral imaging technology ievo micro™’s fast, accurate and reliable performance delivers highly advanced features for a solely internal reader, including working with levels of cream or powder on the skin as well as some types of latex gloves. NB. Micro™ will not work with wet, dirty, oily or problem prints like the ultimate™ product therefore, we do not recommend that you install this reader outside. If you are looking for a solution that can combat these issues and installed externally, take a look at our ultimate™ fingerprint reader.
Spoof detection is a feature of the micro™ reader which can identify live, human fingerprints as opposed to false fingerprints made by other materials. This has been an issue in the past with other biometric competitors and as a result granting unidentified individuals access into a secured area. This means that micro™ can secure a server room, cash office or restricted area without worrying about intruders.
Aside from the conventional surface mount option, micro™ can be mullion mounted which allows the reader to be installed between the casements or panes of a window, door frame or any other awkward place within your chosen installation area. This means micro™ will not look obtrusive, therefore maintaining the aesthetics of your surroundings.
Ievo micro™ has been designed to seamlessly integrate into existing card and fob systems by utilising the original manufacturers controllers through the use of wiegand inputs and outputs. This offers installers the opportunity to offer a reliable and superior biometric product to all of its new and existing clients.
At the moment we are integrated into Paxton, Nortech, BSB, ACT and Inner-Range with further options of PAC and Honeywell sometime in the future. This section is updated whenever we have successfully completed a new integration.
The ievo micro™ PCB and its case are small and have been designed to fit into other manufacturers PSU’s and controller cases.
Most competitor biometric access control products have built in controller/relays. These can be easily removed from the wall and gain entrance by shorting the relay. This is not how a security product should work. The micro™ reader contains no controllers or relays. ievo™’s matching board is housed internally, up to 5 meters away.
A well communicated issue with existing biometric products and its software is due to the duplication of registration information when integrating the reader into existing systems. ievo™ has eradicated these issues and its micro™ software is not only effortless but is very quick and easy to use and compliments any existing software.
Each ievo micro™ reader has its own IP address and can be connected using CAT5 and our IP configuration software tool.
ievo micro™ has three LEDs built into the button. A blue for power indication, green for accepted door open and red for denied. This feature also assists for DDA compliances.
By adding an ievo™ door relay controller to your micro™ system a registered user with no access levels or expired time zones will be rejected by the reader and notified by the LED turning red followed by a double beep. Alternatively, if they have been accepted the LED will turn green followed by a single beep. Before this feature was developed, if the user was registered but did not hold the access level within the door controller or correct time zone then the reader ‘granted’ them access, but the door remained closed, causing confusion. This is no longer the case.
Ensuring ievo™ meets the requirements of the installer it is imperative that the micro™ reader is easy and quick to install. There are only four phoenix plugs and a RJ45 port on the ievo micro™ matching board.
The ievo™ team designed the micro™ reader with the installer and end user in mind. After the success of the ultimate™ reader, ievo™ knew what you and your clients wanted next. The idea of a solely internal reader with unique functions came to the fore, but more importantly maintaining a minimalistic design so that the user felt at ease using the system. The ergonomics of any access control reader are also paramount. With simple visual and audio automated alerts to inform the reader if access has been granted or denied it is DDA compliant and is incredibly easy to use.
Although micro™ uses a multi spectral imaging sensor it is not of the same stamina as the ultimate™ reader. It will not work with wet, dirty or problem fingerprints, therefore cannot work externally in extreme conditions. If you require an external solution our ultimate™ fingerprint reader is perfect for any installation purpose. Micro™ is solely an internal security solution.
